THUNDERCLOUD
Plei'a des, pl.n. - An open star cluster in the constellation Taurus,
consisting of several hundred stars, of which six are visible to the naked eye.
Maia waits for the Pleiades
Weeping like a sister, crying for a lost child,
Caught in thunder,
Trying to capture lightning
In the midst of the cloud.
She holds her tears like ice diamonds,
Heavy with wealth,
Black with moisture,
Hanging forever over drought and desiccation.
She hears her horses whinny,
Shifting weight and stamping in the darkness.
Will her lightning strike?
Will the light flash across the
Big, black eyes of the white horse?
The one installed in shadows,
Silent, waiting, fearless.
"I am caught within the sky,"
Says Maia,
Dropping tears on the dust.
"My tears are not enough, my horses pant."
"I am holding tears to save the parched,
"The panting.
"But there are never enough.
"There is no white horse."Sally Clay
