Psychiatric Garden

What is there about medical school

that takes a young healer and teaches him

to kill symptoms. To slay

is the essence of power I know,

you cauterize shoots.

The root of suffering goes deep,

and uncovering tendrils does not indicate

insight. Whatever you say, doctor,

the ground is filled with roots

are filled with water. It wells

To blossoms and to thorns alike.

So what is there about power

inimical to health? To heal

is not eradication. Roots

Live.
